Fitting toilets, showers and bathroom fittings in Onda

Replacing an old toilet, swapping the bath for a shower tray or renewing the fittings of a bathroom: I remove, fit and seal so that it lasts.

What it includes

A renovated bathroom starts with the fittings

I fit and replace close-coupled and wall-hung toilets, exposed and concealed cisterns, bidets, shower trays and screens. Each piece has its own way of being fixed and connected: a toilet is anchored to the floor and connected to the drain with a suitable pan connector; a shower tray needs a level base and an accessible trap so it can be cleaned afterwards.

Replacing a bath with a shower tray is one of the jobs I am asked for most in Onda homes: it gains space, makes access easier for older people and modernises the bathroom. I remove the bath, prepare the drain at the right height, fit and seal the tray, and leave the point ready for the tap or shower column.

For every installation I use anti-mould sanitary silicone, new seals and new flexible hoses; nothing old is reused. Before leaving I fill the cistern, flush several times, check that the tray drains well and inspect the joints with the water under pressure.

If your project includes tiling or masonry, I tell you clearly which part I can take on and which belongs to another trade, so you can plan the renovation without surprises.

FAQ

Questions about bathroom fittings

Can the bath be replaced with a shower without major building work?

In most cases yes: I remove the bath, adapt the drain and fit an extra-flat tray. The area where the bath stood usually needs some tiling touched up, and I point that out beforehand so you can plan for it.

My toilet wobbles and there is water at the base, what is going on?

It is usually a loose floor fixing or a worn pan connector to the drain. I remove it, clean the base, replace the connector and the seal, and refix and reseal it. If the ceramic is cracked, then the toilet does need replacing.

Do you fit wall-hung toilets with concealed cisterns?

Yes. They need a frame fixed to the wall and, usually, a stud wall or unit to hide it. I explain what your bathroom needs to accommodate it and, if you already have the frame, I take care of the connection and the fitting of the pan and flush plate.

A leak, a faulty socket or a small renovation waiting to happen?

Tell me what is going on and I will tell you how I fix it. The quote comes with no obligation, and in Onda and nearby I get there fast.
