Electrician in Onda: sockets, lights, faults and installations
Sockets that do not work, a lamp that needs hanging, an RCD that trips for no obvious reason: I check, repair and extend your home's electrical installation with the care electricity demands.
What I do in electrical work
Each service has its own page with the details of what it includes and what it does not.
Sockets and switches
I replace worn fittings, add new outlets and renew complete ranges.
Lighting
I fit lamps, ceiling lights, spotlights and LED strips, and create new lighting points.
Consumer units
Board inspection, RCD and breaker replacement, old boards swapped out and extensions.
Electrical faults
RCD tripping, dead circuit, sparks or loose contacts: I check and trace the source.
Electrical installations
I extend your installation: new circuits, outlets for appliances, light on terraces and in storerooms.

First switch off, then understand, and only then touch
In electrical work there are no guesses. Before replacing a mechanism or opening a box, I cut the power to the circuit, check that there is no voltage and look at how the installation is built: cable size, condition of the connections, protection in the consumer unit. Only then do I start.
I replace sockets, switches and two-way switches, fit light fittings, wall lights, spotlights and LED strips, create new lighting points and outlets, repair faults — a dead circuit, a socket that sparks, an RCD that trips — and carry out small extensions of the existing installation.
I use quality fittings and cable, leave connections properly tightened and labelled where useful, and test every point before I leave. If I find something that goes beyond a one-off repair, I explain it clearly so you can decide with the facts in hand.
Common questions about electrical work in Onda
Why does the RCD in my home trip from time to time?
Almost always because of an earth leakage: an old appliance, damp in an outdoor socket box or a damaged cable. I find it by disconnecting circuits one by one and measuring, instead of blindly replacing the RCD, which is rarely the culprit.
Can I ask you just to swap the fittings for more modern ones?
Yes. Replacing old sockets and switches with a new range is a quick job that really changes the look of a home. I take the chance to check every connection, which is where loose contacts usually appear.
Do you do complete electrical installations for new builds?
My work focuses on repairs, replacements, lighting and small extensions of existing installations. If your project is a complete new installation, tell me and I will be honest about what I can take on.
When the fault is both at once
An electric water heater, a pressure pump, a boiler with electric ignition or the washing-machine socket that gets wet are faults where plumbing and electrical work meet. Because I do both, you do not have to call two tradesmen or wait for them to agree: I check both sides in the same visit.

Send me a picture of the tap, the socket or the damp patch. With that I can usually tell you what is needed and when I can come by.
