Hanging the new lamp, swapping halogens for LED, putting light where there was none: I fit and connect any light fitting and create new lighting points.
Light properly fitted, in the right place
I fit and replace all kinds of light fittings: pendant lamps, ceiling lights, wall lights, recessed spotlights, track lighting, LED strips under kitchen units or inside a wardrobe, mirror lights in the bathroom and outdoor wall lights or lanterns on terraces and patios. I take care of the fixing, the connection and, where needed, the transformer or driver.
I also create lighting points where there were none and add two-way switching so the same light can be turned on from two places, very useful in corridors and bedrooms. I use the existing conduit when possible; otherwise, I propose the least invasive route.
When swapping halogens for LED, I check that transformers and dimmers are compatible: it is the most common cause of flickering after a change. I test every point before leaving and hand over lighting that works the way you expected. Outdoors I use fittings with the right protection rating against rain and damp, fixed with anchors that stand up to the local wind.

We choose the spot
We look together at where the light goes and where you want to switch it on from.

I find the route
I locate the nearest conduit or box to run the cable without opening up.

I fit and connect
With the power off: correctly sized cable, box, switch and fitting.

I check and adjust
I switch on, check the dimmer or driver and tidy the area.
Questions about lighting
My LED lights have flickered since I changed them, why?
Almost always because of an old transformer or dimmer that is not LED-compatible, or a switch with an indicator light. I check and replace the part causing the trouble; the flicker goes away.
Do you hang lamps I have already bought?
Yes. I bring the right plugs and anchors for your ceiling (plaster, concrete or false ceiling) and connect it to the existing point. If the lamp is heavy, I reinforce the anchor before hanging it.
Can you fit an LED strip under the kitchen units?
It is one of the jobs I do most: aluminium profile, LED strip in the colour temperature you prefer, hidden driver and switching from a switch or a sensor. It gives very comfortable working light over the worktop.
