Replacing and fitting sockets and switches in Onda
A loose socket, a switch that sparks or an outlet missing right where you need it: I replace and add fittings with the power off and the connections checked.
Small parts used a hundred times a day
Wiring accessories — sockets, switches, two-way switches, push buttons, TV or network outlets — wear out with use: the plate loosens, the claws stop gripping, the internal contact blackens and starts to heat up. Replacing them in time prevents sparks and loose contacts, and freshens up the home too.
I replace individual fittings or complete ranges with current models, adapting the back boxes if the new range does not fit the old one. I add outlets where they are missing — the socket by the bedside table, the outlet for the new oven, the TV point on another wall — running the cable through the existing conduit wherever possible so as not to chase out walls.
At every point I cut the power, check for no voltage, check the cable size and tighten the connections. A properly fitted socket does not heat up or move; if, while changing a fitting, I see damaged cable or an improvised connection, I show you and propose how to put it right.

Questions about sockets and switches
A socket at home gets warm when I plug in the heater, is that dangerous?
Yes, it is a warning sign: a loose contact or a worn fitting heats up with high-power appliances and can end up burning. Stop using it and call me; I replace it and check the circuit that feeds it.
Can you add a new socket without breaking the wall?
Often yes: if there is conduit running nearby, I pull the cable through it to the new box. When there is none, there is the option of surface trunking or a small chase; I explain both with their price.
Which brands of fittings do you install?
Ranges from recognised manufacturers, with spares easy to find in Castellón. If you already have a range at home and want to keep the style, I look for the compatible model; if you prefer to renew it, I show you options in several finishes.
A leak, a faulty socket or a small renovation waiting to happen?
Tell me what is going on and I will tell you how I fix it. The quote comes with no obligation, and in Onda and nearby I get there fast.
